Received a call at 8.00am stating it was Michael calling from Microsoft Security about my computer. Microsoft Security team DO NOT ever call customers about their computers. This is a total SCAM and needs to be stopped.
SCAM: I had trouble connecting Alexa to my 89 Yr old mum's Internet. I saw a website that looked genuine for Alexa Amazon. Foolishly I allowed them to have remote access. They pretended that my mum's Internet had a hidden virus. He remotely went to Amazon and pretended to be surprised when the cost of an Internet protection gadget came around £1000. That's when he offered that Alexa Amazon could do it for £249. He definitely had a script. I was unsure and asked for a phone number to call him back.

I have been called 3 times by this number today. It is highly irritating as I drive a lot. No one there when I answered the third time of them calling. I called back to a recorded message with an American accent saying This number is out of service . My guess is that they are testing to see if the number is in use and you will get a load of marketing text messages once this number is answered or called back which I recommend you do neither.

Called us 3 times to sell iPhone 14 pro max plus 256 gb for £35 a month with unlimited minutes, and texts + 1000 International minutes and free roaming abroad. It seemed to be fishy as £35 x 24 months= £840 while the same phone on its own from pc world currents on its own is £1250 - they say they are phoning from pc world currys -and the email they sent seemed flawed. They wanted us to pay about £39 delivery and our bank details for direct debit - but seemed dodgy so just ended the call.

Eventually they got through. this is the Anthony Nolan Bone Marrow register. they claim they are contacting all the people on the register to ask them to contribute £10 per month.

Birkhill underwriters called asking for my dad, asking if he had been in an accident. Wouldn t tell me where he got my details but told me he would remove them from their database. I don t normally answer numbers I don t know but did this one as the dialling code is from my town and could have been my work. Number now blocked.
calls every day at least once usually between 10.30 and 12.00. Never answered as I only answer callers I recognise. Looked it up and lots of people get the same no. calling. I have no contacts in Northern Ireland so assume it's a scam or telemarketing so will never answer it.
Safe caller. From the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital regarding appointments and tests. They are required to be cryptic because of confidentiality.
