Messaged to inform me of a delivery I missed from EVRI. With a link to re-book a delivery time. I went to the official website to track my delivery, and the number on the message that the suspected scammer gave is not recognised. Also I checked my CCTV and no-one had tried to deliver anything.

A man called to say he was from BT open reach and they had been getting security alerts about my IP address, which had been changed from private to public, so he would talk me through how to change it back on my computer. I told him to get a proper job and get lost.

Normally they call me from different Aberdeen Numbers, so now they're trying to catch me out by phoning me from Dumfries. Think it’s a scammer on FB, has hacked into an account on there and pretending to be a widower living in Bedford. The phone is being used in the Preston area. I have blocked before he tries to extract money from me. He will not send current face photo with today’s date in his hand so I know it is a scammer. The FB profile hacked looks very American not Uk. Recorded voice claiming to be Amazon and saying I'd been charged £95 for Prime, and to dial '1' if I didn't agree. A quick check with the Amazon website confirmed this to be BS. We wonder where dialling '1' would go and at what cost?
