An automated call claiming that my National Insurance number has been suspended due to illegal activity. Hung up before hearing what they were going to con me into. Clearly a scam.
SCAM / SPAM: BT Scam! Asian sounding female called from a call centre, asking for me by name. I deliberately answered the phone in German, which made her hesitant. She said she was calling from 'British Telecom', and asked for Mrs **** again. I asked her who she was, in German, and she ended the call abruptly. When I did 1471 to get her number, it said 'Please Hang Up' which makes me think this is a spoofed number. Incidentally, I no longer have a BT phone line.

This company seems to call, fishing for people who have had a car accident! I think they get your number from temporary car insurance company s or comparison sites.
