I got a call from this number, I answered and they hung up straight away, I called back and the phone just hung up

THIS IS NOT BT, CALLED ME AND SAID THEY WERE FROM BT AND WERE REVERSING THEIR PRICE RISE AND WOULD SPEED UP MY BROADBAND SERVICE. ALARM BELLS WERE RINGING IN MY HEAD, HE DID NOT ASK FOR MY BANK DETAILS BUT DID ANSWER MY DATE OF BIRTH QUESTION. HE SAID HE WOULD EMAIL ME WITH MY NEW UPGRADED DEAL. RANG BT STRAIGHT AFTER AND THEY TOLD ME IT WAS A SCAM!!! ONLY DETAILS I GAVE THE YOUNG BRITISH CALLER WAS MY DATE OF BIRTH :(

This number called me using my previous surname and when I told them I wasnt known by that name anymore they hung up. Who are they.

if I could give 0 stars I would, I have never been in an accident, I asked them to remove my number (they didn t) I have had to change my number. Rang to say I d won a holiday to Florida but would have to pay for Flights. Asked if I was age 30-60 & an him owner. She then said she was transferring me to someone else to hand over personal details. I laughed at her & put the phone down. She rang back immediately after to which I ignored the call. Phoned me up to sell magazine subscriptions- very very forceful, almost demanding my bank details in order to get a cookbook for a pound.Would be a problem for vulnerable elderly people
