SCAM: Sounded fine initially (real person), claiming to come from "CIC", but when I suggested an admin problem (as they stated they knew me/my company etc), I was immediately cut off.
the scammers are using new approach: first the robot makes random calls checking which phone numbers are workable and then someone else would follow up with funny deals

I ve had three missed calls from this number in as many weeks, I finally answered in time and it was someone from a local Honda garage (wirral based) asking about a car I had serviced with them recently, told them I d since sold it and they said they would update their records. Looks like tele-marketing as I m sure the next question would have been if I was interested in purchasing a new one instead.....

SCAM! Be careful, I was called with an offer from ‘Currys Carphonewarehouse’ to reduce my mobile sim cost while upgrading the data and minutes allowance and the scammers already had a lot of my personal information including the monthly cost of my current sim plan. The dodgy email account they sent me a confirmation email from was [email protected]. They also called me on 07842778977, 07843577187 & 07848628655. Another landline number associated with the scammers is 02034042911.

Claiming to be from virgin media and that they have been getting alerts from our hub and internet speed. Ask to check colour of lights on hub and to use a computer to enter an address so they can check and correct the issue. Dont logon computer or enter the address! Called 3 times in an hour different numbers and difffernt people. Checked with virgin media and its not them!

this is a total scam ... called me 50 times in the last week... woman with a scottish acsent asked for me by name ... stated as if it was a fact that id had a road traffic accident my reply was apparently so, her response was what date was it so i asked her what her computer told her because thats obviously right, to which she hung up ... honestly some people should not be aloud telephones, tried calling back 4 times just on hold then says "goodbye" and hangs up.... load of tripe

The caller immediately rang off without saying anything. Perhaps it was because I have got into the habit of saying "Hello" loudly enough to damage the eardrums when I get these unwanted interruptions. I rang back three times, purely for identification purposes. Each time I got a short recorded message and was then cut off. It was in an American accent. I am still little the wiser. Had a call from this number today. Automated voice message saying someone trying to use £800 from debit card for a gambling place in the USA. They said they was from the fraud team. It also said they were not letting that £800 to come off debit card until I had spoken to someone. It tells you to press 1 to speak to an agent. I didn't want to speak to anyone so I put the phone down. The Automated voice sounded very familiar. People please don't fall for this.
