Seems to be used for some telemarketing call center - this range of numbers 14227180xx (common feature, they use more numbers of the same range) is mostly reported with car accidents, PPI claims, insurance marketing. Just block it if not interested (I use the app from these pages, no problems). Folks did they call you with the same or something new? TAXES / HMRC they called me today and told me something about tax and to avoid jail time, it wasn't even a proper answering machine it sounded like the Google translate voice, I tried calling them back later this afternoon and said their number is invalid. If you are concerned about your tax and stuff call hmrc directly and chat with them if there's something going on cause this number seems a bit dodgy. I'm gonna call them myself tomorrow morning
