Implied she was calling from the government, and started to ask for details. When i asked if she was calling from a government department she hung up and number is permanently engaged when I tried to call and complain. Block.

Had a liverpudlian girl called Lucy call me just from 01704222222, said she was calling from Alderley Assist, got the usual call centre spiel, had my name on file which I confirmed. I asked her what I could do for her and to cut to the chase as I was busy and got a mouthful of abuse being called and ugly [email protected] and other nice names. Trying to sell Life Insurance

caller identified herself as Jennifer (Asian sounding voice) & said she was calling from BT & there was a problem with my computer & my service was about to be cut off. I was slightly concerned since I have a BT broadband account & was using my laptop at the time, but the tone of the call felt bogus so I hung up & checked number via Google.

The same continually happens with my number and they give my daughters name for the person they wish to speak to. Always a recorded message asking her to call the number. Thin...

I got a call from this number, I answered and they hung up straight away, I called back and the phone just hung up

Its Santander fraud security - ignore the muppet who said it is a scam as they clearly have something against Santander. How much does it cost though? The whole call took 3 minutes at premium rates.

Claimed to be surveying recent visit to Yorkshire bank. I asked what date was the visit. I had not been to the bank on that date I assume this to be a scam.

A well spoken English accent for a change from the usual child caller. They at least had the business owners name for a change but the usual failure to state their name or purpose was present, my suggestion that the owner had gone to Tunisia for the summer will, no doubt, fail to put them off their mission of calling every day for the foreseeable future.

They ve been trying to call me once a day for a week but I don t answer unknown numbers. It becomes irritating though. I guess they hope to break your curiosity eventually.
