Received a call offering a free tablet, declined as I did not believe they were calling from Vodafone themselves, and hung up. Then received a seemingly automated text message from Vodafone advising the call was genuine, but the grammar in the text was poor - "infact", "you wasn t sure", "removed you from our list of customer" - so I can t be sure if it is genuine. Surely a big company like that would check something so simple?
Up to 3 calls a day! Don't know who it is though.

Remember, anyone who cold calls you, (especially when you are registered with the TPS), is highly likely to be at best disreputable or at worst an out and out fraudster. SCAM; recorded message claiming to be from BT Internet department (they're not our ISP), saying they'd tried to contact (they hadn't) and they were going to disconnect us. Put the phone down but no doubt they would have tried to get money or details from us.

Rang my house saying they calling from frontline servers. The Indian sounding caller told me my name, phone number & address and asked me to confirm if they re correct.
