Called me twice in two days. Asked to speak to me by name. Implied I was lucky to get the call from them. Said that I was due money from mis sold insurance etc etc. I am surprised that they had my name and mobile number. I can only imagine that they got it from a web site owner that has sold its customer account details or been hacked. I have blocked the number.

My wife wouldn t put the call thru to me until they confirmed what they wanted to ask me about. The caller refused to confirm this, so wifey hung up on them. This was actually just an automated BT text-to-landline service telling me the time slot for my Costco parcel delivery that I was expecting, so this was completely legit for me. It will try ringing you several times until you listen to the text message so just listen and it will stop. However, as it's a generic BT service it is open to abuse but I would advise against blocking it because the message delivery service itself is not a scam, just be aware though that the message you receive could be bogus.
