Company called something generic-sounding like "UK Data" (can t remember the exact name) asked to speak to my husband saying he may be eligible for compensation "from his earlier work in industry". Phones at least twice a day for a week. Nobody on the other end. Presume they are block calling and when the first person answers, the other calls drop out... ?

American voice saying that our broadband would be disconnected in next 24 hours. Realized it was a scam and we ended the call.

Very dangerous they are scam folk trying to put a virus on your computer and when the virus installs the program that will encrypt all your files and your computer will be as useless as a waterproof teabag and can no longer access your computer unless you pay a ransom fee off over ?1,000 to put it right These guys are not from Microsoft !!!!!!
