Asian lady asked for my son and then told me she was from the council wanting to talk to my son and knew his name. Would not talk to me and said she would call him later. Very odd.
SCAM Derek in a foreign voice from 'Virgin Media' calling about our slow internet connection over WiFi. We have 6 devices connected to it. He wanted me to use my mobile to download an app on play store called Quicksupport and he had a code ready to put in once downloaded. I did not do it and ended the call.

It's virgin media, I have given my notice, and even now past the 14 day cooling off period they keep calling, I've even got my new router from my new provider. I spoke to them once and explained they couldn't beat the deal I got with another provider. Still every day they call. Last night they called my mobile, answered and nobody was there, literally a few seconds later they called my landline, answered and again dead air. SCAM Automated message purporting to be from HMRC claims you have a tax fraud complaint raised against you and if you do not immediately press 1 then the police will raise an arrest warrant in your name today. Was pretty scary for an automated message even knowing its a scam, the threat of arrest was very convincing.

Over the last two days these people have called me four times. After the first one I told them to stop calling me, but they have repeatedly called since then. I just answered again and told them to stop bothering me and they hung up. They claim to be from The Financial Justice Service and it's the usual PPI nonsense, but sounds very dodgy - they don't have the right name for me and kept asking for my details (email etc).

When will this all end?? If it's not the car accident I had in 2014, it's the PPI I was mis-sold! Where do these people get our phone numbers from.....?
They first say it's from Prizes UK website. When I asked for more details, she gave me the name of the company, TLC World Travel. I've never heard of them, clearly never did any surveys. It's probably a scam. Can't wait for GDPR to kick in!

This is genuine. I just had it and went into HSBC nearby me and called from there, but annoyingly it was over a £10 payment! Waste of time, but at least they do check from time to time. Agree that they should have this number up on their website, and also it came up as Withheld on my mobile, so I didn't answer it anyway.
