Pretending to be from Virgin Media Cyber security department, informing me that there is someone in California using my IP address for illegal purposes, but he would help me sort it out. Refused to tell me the name on the account or the account number because it was a recorded call, having told me it was a secure line and that he would "prove" to me that he was from Virgin if I gave him the information he asked for.

I rang the number back it’s about PPI saying I had money back in 2019 I told the lady I didn’t receive any money and to remove me from their database She started to raise her voice asking why would they do that when I had received money! I told her I had NOT received any money and to remove me from database. She started to speak I cut her short and said these calls should be removed remove me immediately and hung up. This number called my mobile then disconnected after 2 rings. I called it back and an automated voice in an irritating American accent said "Hi. Thanks for calling. Please hold while we connect you". They will sign you up on a completely different deal than agreed initially with the most expensive phone available. They use several phone numbers some of them on Whatsapp. Also will e-mail an order confirmation from an address that seems genuine. It's not. After receiving the parcel they will try to convince you to send the phone back to some shady residential address. Avoid!
