This seems to be some good working money trap, similar numbers are reported as a scam offers - unclaimed bank charges, PPI, uncalimed financial services. SPAM call. Pretending to be from Sky and asking if everything was ok with my service before telling me that my breakdown service has ended and that I paid £156 last year for the service, but he can give me a discount and for 1 year it would be £120 and for 2 years it would be £170. I told him 2 years sounded like a good deal (even though I never had a breakdown service with sky). I asked a simple question to him to confirm he is from Sky and it was “Can you tell me my name”. He hung up at this point.

Just had a call from this number 001-979-823-4079. Guy with poor english said the files on my Windows computer were infected by a download of infected files. Wanted to speak to the owner of the PC. After stringing him along for a while I told him to get lost as it was a scam. He hung up.
