This company is a respected publisher of lifestyle magazines in which I buy advertising space for one of my clients (I have a long established advertising agency - The Whitaker Partnership Ltd Leeds). The publisher is not a nuisance caller....

SCAM text message received from this number claiming to be from HSBC. Message states it detected new device used for HSBC access and to click on link provided to confirm device. Can't think why a bank would use a mobile phone number to text messages to it's customers. I'm not even a customer of HSBC and the location map of the number shows it in the middle of a field of nowhere!

'computerised voice' claimed to be from HMRC advising I was being investigated as part of an HRMC Fraud investigation and if I didnt 'press 1' to speak to one of their investigating team a warrant would be issued for my arrest shortly. Total scam !!

SCAM Message popped up on my laptop stating that it was in danger of being hacked and had been temporarily blocked. The error message suggested I called a helpline (number stated 020) said to be Microsoft Security. I rang, lady answered (Indian/pakistan accent) lots of noise in the background, she wanted me to depress the windows and the letter R key on my laptop. was evasive when I asked what would happen. Had a call from this number 3 times this week
SCAM calling trying to be Carphone warehouse. I know this was going to be a fraud a guy with indian accent called before. They keep changing landline numbers and I keep blocking them I have told the guy on the phone not interested. Repeating this to him multiple times hes not taken this in then I wen into repeat mode and kept repeating not interested all the time and the guy keeps trying to talk over me phone company will never do that to customer.
