we had a call from this number saying she is calling on behalf of Barnet Council Building Control.

Asian accent with poor English, said he was from BT and there was a fault with our internet.I told him he was lying (politely) and hung uo on him. He rang back an hour later, so I just hung up.

Pressing 9 does not remove number from the call list, pressed 5 instead to speak to an operator (Scott) who promptly put the phone down when I politely tried to have my number removed, redialing the number gets you a recorded message stating the call was sales related and nothing to worry about!

They called my number asking for me by a name I haven t gone by for nearly 5 years, so I am assuming that somewhere someone / some company, has sold on their client list. I said she wasn t available and could I take a message, the scouse guy gave Chase Alexander as the company name. The same company that pretty much harassed me last year on various different landline and mobile numbers. Each time i just said I didn t know the person they called for etc.

It is a Decision Direct company - who deals with claiming back PPI - They were a bit shady with my information so I ended the call.

Silent call. Rings both me and my mum. The person on the other line doesn't say a word so I just end it.

I have had several calls on my mobile at least three times a day from this number which I refuse to answer. If I don t know who it is and they don t leave a message, then why would I want to speak to them. Very annoying, wish they would just leave everyone alone.

Pathetic attempt to get a ?99 Ukash voucher by claiming the government wanted an admin fee for refunding credit card over payments! As if the UK government would insist on that form of payment. Persistent blighters though.

Phone rings, you answer. Puase. No-one there, until eventually a real woman says "Hi, I n Chantelle Brown of [garbled] and I ve been informed you ve been involved in a road accident that wasn t your fault." at which point you put the phone down. Clearly an illegal automated dialling system, passing any calls that are answered on to one of their human operators who then reads from a script. Get a nicer job, "Chantelle".

Claim to be Sky following up on new installation. But will not discuss anything unless you tell them the last digits of bank account, full address and password or memorable information (in full - not just selected characters). Clear from other sites this is a scam - but how did they get new Sky customer information?
