Call center Lady calling from a Health Insurance provider insisting on asking a few questions that would take under a minute. Despite my polite response of not being interested she still pushed so I gave her a chance. They know my full name, postcode and house number and when asked where this data is from they said it’s from a public database. I wouldn’t call it harmful but definitely doesn’t understand the word “no”

Fraud BEWARE THEY WILL CON YOU pretending to be a loan company, they ask for the first installment to be paid as they need to be sure you can afford it, which I paid, they then said that they would require a tax payment that HMRC required before your loan is paid, which I refused to pay, they are piggybacking a company called nouveau finance (this company only deals with mortgages and is a legitimate company, who don't have sister companies)YOU WILL NOT GET YOUR MONEY BACK NOR THE LOAN
SCAM - told me someone had purchased an IPHONE 7 on my Amazon account, it was for £300 odd pounds, did I want help recovering the money or want the phone delivered. Lady with a very heavy Indian accent, didn't say if she was calling from Amazon or the Bank, but she could help stop the delivery and get my money back if I followed these steps. Call terminated.

Fraud HMRC tax fraud scam, they will tell you there is a warrant out for your arrest unless you pay £495.50 over the phone straight away, if you dont pay they threaten to have you arrested for non payment of taxes, when you say you dont owe any tax, they then say its for unpaid council tax do not engage with them, hang up phone straight away.

SCAM Claimed to be from BT Broadband and told me my internet router was sending error signals to them and that I wasn't getting the speed I should be. They give you a bit of blurb about internet speed and then ask you to turn on your laptop, they ask you to press 'Ctrl + Windows +R' then type: - 'Eventvwr' into the box. They then use screen that comes up to persuade you that you have a problem. Once they have you convinced, which is easily done if you are not tech savvy, the sting.. Your money!!!

Automated message from someone claiming to be from BT and that they were about to disconnect my landline due to activity on the line. They then asked me to press 1 to get in contact with CEO. Sounds very dodgy to me so hung up!
Name of company was something or other polls. Caller had a heavy Asian accent and I think he has called many times before for different companies. Said he wanted to ask me only four questions about my use of brands but his first question was to confirm my address, at which point I hung up.

He asked me what I meant? I said that if he was saying I had an accident , he must have some information on me and in that case, I had a right to know the source. He said " we help people , that s what we do" then he hung up - very helpful!!

Asian Guy (David) calling from Windows Technical about my computer. Apparently something wrong with my computer so need to turn it on so they could sort it out. I asked them to tell me what my computer IP address is - which obviously they can t tell me because they don t know who they are speaking to. IT IS A SCAM - THEY WANT A ONE OFF, LIFETIME PAYMENT. SPAM Called me this morning and stated he was from Protect or perhaps Protec and stated that they were a government linked company and needed to arrange an inspection of my roof insulation which should be checked every two to three years to eliminate mould etc from damp or deteriorating insulation. I told him it was not necessary but then he lost any confidence I may have had in him by comparing it with a car MOT which has to carried out. I reminded him one is a legal requirement and ended the call.
