SCAM phoned with an indian accent trying to get me to run things on my computer, claiming my internet connectivity has been violated by criminals and that they knew my address, i would go to jail, and if i dont comply the police will be around. Claiming they work for openreach and my theywanted to improve my internet security. they phoned a work office number where this is not true. the line went dead then they phoned me back demanding why did i hang up on them. (i didnt). very dangerous!

Same as others experiences here. I received calls from English speaking Indian males and females saying they are calling from Virgin Media and investigating a fault with my internet broadband. They are so obviously not from VM. I challenge them and they always hang up. As with all the other cases I had previously reported an issue to the real VM line which had already been resolved by an engineer that visited me. There must be someone at the VM call centre passing numbers and details on to these scammers. I

Seems to be used for some telemarketing call center - this range of numbers 14136723xx (common feature, they use more numbers of the same range) is mostly reported with usual accident chasers, PPI, insurance marketing - holly trinity of nowadays telemarket
