Call center to my business number (which I never give out as its just for my colleagues to call me on... so how they got it I dont know) Claimed to be "Global Tech Insights on behalf of Tableau software" talking about some white paper or other... couldnt find anything about Global Tech Insights whilst I was on the call... so maybe using the latter (Tableau software) to cajole authenticity. Introduced himself as Peter from Telephone Preference Service. Asked if I was getting nuisance calls? So I told him he was one. But Peter continued unabashed and asked again and said I needed to register to stop these calls. So this time I said I did not want to stop them as I enjoyed the conversation. He asked if I didn't want to have them stop. But I again repeated that I liked them. This succeeded in confusing him immensely and he could not think what to say - haha Basically a complete scam - beware.

Strange as the phone rang for a while but I could not get to it so I did a 1471 and got the number and rang them back, after a while it was picked up and it sounded like an office but no one spoke I said hello a couple of times to silence then a man said hello who is this? I replied I had a missed call from you but I don't know your number he said you have had no calls off me. I have triple checked and it was this number.
