They provided me with a person called Jamin bank details which straight away is strange for a company. I was told it was the managers details as money transferred to the company always bounces back. Phone call offering me a new phone and contract with massive savings. When I asked question that the caller was not prepared for or on her script she became very confused. I gave her false information about my phone, contract cost and provider and asked more questions that she could not answer she hung up. Number now blocked.

This is a number used by people dealing in so-called trading not recognised by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). They use false advertising incl. British celebrities to steal thousands of pounds from UK citizens. They are scammers to put it mildly and not to be trusted!!!

Pretending to be from Virgin Media Cyber security department, informing me that there is someone in California using my IP address for illegal purposes, but he would help me sort it out. Refused to tell me the name on the account or the account number because it was a recorded call, having told me it was a secure line and that he would "prove" to me that he was from Virgin if I gave him the information he asked for.

As of writing, 3 different numbers tried to call me today (020 8956 2943, 020 8956 2230 and 020 8956 2601). They all start with 020, I don’t know anyone who owns those numbers, maybe the same individual is using different numbers to call me. Likely a fraud and now it’s harassing.
