The caller with a strong foreign accent (possibly Indian) stated he was calling from BT Openreach about potential problem with my internet connection. So I thanked him for calling and hung up, as it sounded like it might be an all too frequent scam call.

By His grace, I was able to get my stolen money on contacting dorisashley 52 gmail.com. WhatsApp +351 968 942 567. I hope that this stops and the authorities get more grip on things.
This number called me at 8.45 pm on 13th April 2023 but did not leave a message. I do know anybody in Warminster (01985840217) I do not answer numbers I do not recognise and/or do not leave a message.

Automated call. Says some nonsense about avoiding the call will result in magistrates action then gives you a refererence number which is probably: 2019-2101-t9. It states it so quickly, I can't be sure if 100% correct. If it were important then it wouldn't be coming from a mobile! Either way, then says "press 1 to speak to an officer". I didn't.

SCAM Caller said that they were from Curry's PC world. I knew it was a scam call and told the caller I wasn't interested and ended the call. If they were a genuine caller then they would have known that Curry's PC world no longer exists as it's now known as just Curry's. I checked the number and it actually belongs to Wee Timorous Beastie Cafe in Stirling, Scotland.

They will remove your details if you bother to answer your phone and ask them to, rather than hiding from it and complaining on a random website like a child

So Octopus Brokers pretending to be an Energy Company, are selling private details to third parties who want to put lethal equipment in people's homes so they can cut people off when they feel like it. I will report them to the ICO. Section 4(2) of the Fraud Act 2006 covers fraud by abuse of position which the billing company deliberately omit. The are committing fraud as they have no valid contract with anyone. Smart Meters cause health issues and should be banned asap.I blocked the scammer. No consent.

Went through all the comments, I found some painful, while some were funny. My conclusion is most people can still get scammed just because they can’t read in- between the lines. I’ve be victimized. Now I have a resident expert and a professional hacker who helped me recover my funds and so far, it had been worth it. Hackers easily know a bitcoin scam. Fraud - Incoming call from a foreign call centre. Person on the phone not very bright. When challenged with questions such as “what bank is calling me?” The person was unable to answer and ultimately terminated the call. I knew it was a scam, but just like to waste their time as much as they waste mine.
Male non english accent called my landline from 07342065763 17 Jan 2023. Stated he was from Amazon security and that he had emailed me as someone had ordered a £600 phone on my account. I asked whose name was on the account as he said it was my name. I asked again whose name and he said D Maddison. When I say they don't live here he hung up. Obviously has some old phone records.
