Its Vanquis Bank chasing payments. When they cant raise you on their usual numbers they get sneaky and divert via an STD code local to you.Its a bit sneaky but they do have a genuine reason for needing to talk with you

Received a call from 0161 818 2004 earlier this afternoon from an chap with an Indian accent. He enquired about any motor accidents/claim that I may have had in the last 3 years. All he had was my phone number. I was immediately suspicious. He said he had a legal duty to obtain further details (name, address, date of accident, cars involved etc) and that I was legally obliged to supply it. He claimed to be acting on behalf of a bank of insurers, but failed to identify any insurers that I had policies with.

We received a silent call from them which locked our line for a few minutes even when we put the phone down and pick it up again. We dialed 1471 and got the above number which I called on my mobile but withheld our number and they identified themselves as the above company, as soon as we got the name, we hang up. Rang today, when I asked why they had called me and how they received my mobile number he just continued with PPI refund speech. Again I explained that I don t have loans or a mortgage so he then began to question me as to if I knew what PPI was as I must have signed up for it. Rude and don t take no for an answer so next time they call I am going to blow a whistle down the ear piece of my phone.

Scam Text claiming to be from Hermes asking for £1.45 for redelivery with internet link. Told them I'll collect it from the depot and asking for location. Not expecting a response.

This number called on 19/4.2018, don t know who it is, don t care, if they can t be bothered to leave a message they must be dodgy, waste of my time.

Initial call rec d from this number which was silent. Then bombarded with with grossly offensive sexual texts. Own enq s so far indicate that the number is on the 02 network and is a pay as you go number. Other enq s in hand to identify subscriber.
