Male, English accent, called and said he was from a company which had provided me with a service to stop nuisance calls (it hadn't, so I cancelled it). He said it was coming to an end (it expired in November last year) and the company was going to take £142 out of my account as a "closure payment". He then said they had my debit card details (naming my bank) and wanted me to confirm the card number. I had a call from this number - a woman asked me to verify my address and postcode and when I questioned her about why she wanted me to do that, and who she worked for, she hung up. I therefore assume it was a scam of some sort.
