Had an email & asked to quote this company, sent a proforma invoice then they paid by cheque straight into our account which is strange as this never happens as everone generally pays by bacs. The cheque was for just over 2077.60 which is 3 times amount needed. luckily thanks to other messages here, we have stopped the goods leaving & not refunded the difference, as im sure this check will bounce aswell.
SCAM Called our business stating Visa Verification services and we had 2 transactions one for Amazon for £300.00 and 1 for Western Union for £1100.00 then asked me to press 1. Be careful out there and put the phone down and report the number.
Not very happy recently had to leave my job after year of hell when I called for union backing , rep said I would have little grounds to keep my job , despite fact I’d done nothing wrong even said I’d be best leaving, rather than being sacked cancelling my membership soon , after 30 years never answer these calls ever
This number called three times this morning, each time there was a racket of background noise then the caller hung up without speaking.

Claiming to be British Gas - hung up as there is no reason that British Gas should be phoning me.
This is a PPI Company called Harringtons Advisory
Missed call - Missed the call. Rang back out of curiosity and got the message "This number has been suspended through suspected misuse or fraud. If affected call..." and gave the Fraud Line Interestingly, I look at my Blocked Numbers log and I have in the past blocked 0161 636 3721 - 3726, so it must be an allocation bought up by someone dodgy who just flips the outgoing number when it gets burned.
SCAM - Robot voice telling me I’m prosecuted for tax fraud.
SPAM
Automated call told me that there was an arrest warrant in my name and that I was being investigated for tax evasion. Told me to press 1.

I have never sort to buy property abroad, so I can only presume this is some sort of scam.
