Claimed to be from o2 offering 30% discount on bills due to cost of living crisis - clearly targeting vulnerable people who may be desperate. Offered no information to validate who they were & told me "don't you worry about that" when I asked any questions!

I answered a call from this number, and heard a male at the other end of the line with the sound of other people in the room. He didn’t answer immediately, and after a short while asked if I could hear him, to which I, possibly foolishly replied “Yeah, yeah”. The phone was not put down at his end, but there was no reply when I tried to communicate at which point I ended the call.
Call center SPAM Said his name was Alex, however he had a very strong Indian accent. He said that he was phoning from British Gas!? It was about boiler cover, house hold cover for both gas and electric. Asked a couple of questions. He said that he was calling from London, when I asked him what the weather was like in India, and it would be set up today! Caller would not tell me which company was calling and I could also not understand most of what he said. Said was the Life Insurance department. When I asked again what company he slammed the phone down - do not answer
