This number called my mobile. I did not answer, but wanted to check the number out first. there was no bad report on the number. when I tried to return the call there was no answer then a "click" in the line and a message that the "other person had hung up". this makes me think it s somebody trying to sell you something nobody wants

This number has called twice in one day. It has rang before occasionally. No reply when answered.

Someone in Motherwell had an urgent need to phone me at 1950 BST. It wasn t that important to leave a message. On the basis that such appalling manners should be rewarded, these tossers have been assigned to the black list, if and until I can be persuaded otherwise.

I have managed to confirm that calls from this number are from a company debt management company called Stephenson Drake (www.stevensondrake.com. They operate by automated cold calling your number. You will either hear silence or a message asking if you are having problems with debt. If you press 5 to speak to someone then you are cut off BUT your number is stored and you will receive a follow up call from them. Caller asked for someone else who lives in the house by name - after teh ususal telemarketing pause of silence..... When I explained they were not in and asked if I could take a message, the caller sounded annoyed that the person he called for was not in, and then HE HUNG UP. . Cold caller? Telemarketer? Rude - yes!

It is from UK TV Care. Overall, these maintenance contracts are not very good value
