Twice when I picked up the phone the line went dead. The third time, a lady said something which included the words "Tax refund" but, despite asking her to repeat herself several times, I could not make out anything else she said as she had a very strong foreign accent. So I blocked the number.

Received a suspicious call from this number claiming to be from EE. The caller had a strong Indian accent and asked for my account details. Immediately sensed a scam and hung up. Remember, never disclose your personal information to unsolicited calls.

Recorded message claiming to be from 'bank security' (bank unidentified) telling me of two transactions of £300 and £1100 made using my 'card' (also unidentified) and asking a for a number to be pressed for further information. I hung up.The number appeared to be a standard Cambridge number, but not one I recognised.

In order to keep my money safe and have access to it anytime I want without having to go to the bank, I choose to invest in bitcoin. While surfing the internet, I unknowingly signed with a dubious investment company and gave them a sizable 157,000 USD of my funds. Several weeks passed while I waited, but nothing transpired. Didn't recognise the number so didn't answer. Rang back on works landline and received an automated message saying I had been contacted by a double glazing company, I think they were called "Crown?". Anyway blocked so hopefully will never hear from them again.

Fraud The claimed to be from my home appliance cover. They tried to get my bank details (even though we are on direct debit so the real provider would already have it). When challenged they called back several times getting more condescending each time. We then phoned our actual cover provider and they confirmed it was a scam call. DANGEROUS.
