I need to know if these people are scammers I I answered the phone and the lady called and said that it is regarding an insurance taken out on a television Three years ago.

This Swansea based number called my mobile. I answered and they hung up. Do not answer this number. These idiots clearly don t know Google has their number.

Number is only ten digits, too short to be a valid UK number.

FRAUD - claimed to be from Amazon regarding my Prime renewal. An Amazon customer service assistant confirmed it wasn t them.

I rang back hiding my number, when put through, I was told my details had been passed to them from national database, and that I had been involved in a road collision. I told her she didn t know who I was, but insisted my phone number was displayed and matched to the database. Obviously from the outset this is just a cold call hoping who ever answers has been involved in some kind of accident

House of Ladies ask for a police check. I am not sure of them. Perhaps someone can let me know if they are genuine. Usually a good agency as the type on this page should be good. Only the bad ones need a police check. I do not have their number but it can be looked up. They do not charge for admin or so their information states. Numerous calls from this number. also from 01818894557. I attempted to call back both these numbers but numbers do not exist. I got so fed up I played along with him for 15 mins - he wanted to take control of my PC in order to fix (non existent) problems with my router. What he would have done is anybody s guess, but I assume it would not be to my advantage and probably would have cost me money !
