Nuisance call, can t call number back.

I got this number today,but didn t answer, and just got office background noise on the answer machine. This is despite only having changed my landline number a couple of weeks ago (because of many such scamming and harassment calls).I went ex directory and only let a few friends know the new number. How on earth did these scumbags manage to get the new number, and does anyone know if contacting Fraud Alert will help?

They have called me 8 times today, fortunately because I have them on my blacklist they ve not got through. However it must be very annoying for those that don t have that facility. If you re reading this CPR: I M NOT INTERESTED. However if someone tries the same number 8 times in one morning they must be desperate for business. Probably company is failing and needs CPR. Recorded message about someone starting a legal case against me, said "press 1 to speak to your case officer". Obviously a scam, but nasty. This would worry a lot of people.

I was a bit uneasy with a firm telling me that they could get me a rates reduction as there are many firms offering this service! Graham George and their rep Jason were more than helpful in the service they provided me, even when all of the paperwork was lost by the government department. Girl with friendly UK accident, asking me about a car accident they claimed I had. When I asked how she knew this, she then said Incident at work? . They try and get you to talk about some incident they can help you with, but I don t they have any real data. When I asked again where she got the data from, she hung up.

phone bill reduction scam

Caller asked for the home owner and said it was not a sales call. the company did have our surname but did not ask to speak to Mr or Mrs......... When I asked how they got our number (ex-directory) they just put the phone down.

I keep blocking their calls but the always call from a different number. My next option is change my phone number.

Tripe about life insurance - the caller refused to terminate the call when requested, insisting that it was very important. He wouldn t end the call in spite of my taunts and finally terminated the call when I used a personal attack alarm (rated at 130dB)
