Said he was from Domestic and General asked for my name, and then said he could not hear me could I give it again which I did. I had cancelled a insurance with D & G and thought they were ring to make me change my name. He then asked for the first name of my address and post code, and again said he couldn t hear me and asked me to repeat it again. This is when I got suspicious and hung up. I rang D & G and they apparently do not keep a record of outgoing cals.

This number called twice. I answered both times but no-one spoke. As the no. didn t correspond to any in my address book, I checked it out with you. Will now block number but concerned as to how they got my number in the first place, and hope they are not able to access my contact details in the phone.

I ve just had a call from this number. They said that as I had been involved in a road accident my case had been referred to them. As I had a car accident in the last week my insurance company had referred me to an injury claim solicitor (one who does a lot of advertising on TV) so I thought this was them until I was passed to a supervisor who then proceeded to say "I understand you have been involved in an accident in the last two years". They called me, I answered, then they hung up.

They called twice in one week. You always know these people. You answer once, twice and then when you are just about ready to hang up they speak. Lots of back ground noise from their colleagues making more nuisance calls to other poor victims and they ask for you by name but need you to confirm it. You either say they have the wrong number and that person isn t known at this number then hang up or, just say that the line is breaking up and you can t hear them. They get bored really quickly and hang up.

Couple off missed calls off this number and I don't live in London and am aware it is a landline. Very wary of answering calls from unknown numbers these days!
