They will then tell you that they are the other party insurance company but they can also help you retrieve your fund, you need to give them your personal information for them to refund you and for a generous fee of £500, they will cover the damages which are estimated at £15,000. how generous of them, is it not? Anyways, just block the number guys.

They usually work for some third company and call with offer of some goods or services for the actual company they were hired for. In this case the number is mostly reported in connection with non-profit orgs, Oxfam (check them at https://www.oxfam.org/ ) and similar.

Received a text claiming person had an accident. I responded as I recognised the name - turns out this was a lucky guess / coincidence. They then replied asking for a phone top up - Google says this is a scam.
I answered a call from this number but it was quiet on the other line then hang up on me. This number has been ringing me numerous times now, no voicemail or text. Beware.

Just block it if not interested (I use the app from these pages, no problems). Folks did they call you with the same or something new?

Just received a call from this number, I answered, there was silence and then after a few second a beep followed by a robotic lady saying "Goodbye" I had received a missed call from this number a few times so this time I stupidly decided to call it back - not a normal ring tone for London/UK number. A man answered, sounded very much like a call centre and said "This is (forgot the name) from HMRC, what is your name?", I gave him my name and he said "We're looking for a Sheila Stevens". Obviously not me so h
This rogue call center calling me even at 4 clock in the morning and does not take me off the call list. I do not even know exactly what they want from me, because it can often ring only briefly. Apparently, they make me want to brittle.
