The individual announced themselves as Alpine Group but having recently received a call from another similar number last week, I told the female caller to STOP THERE! then hung up. Phoned my Dad with the same Microsoft rubbish quoting a serial number and saying that they would disable his computer, my Dad hung up but they rang straight back. He told them to go ahead and try to disable the computer but nothing happened. He asked for the guy s name and number and he said he was Peter Connor and quoted this number. Someone must be able to track down these scum, wherever in the world they are and lock them up!

SPAM picked up pressed 1 it was answered by what sounded like a call center and one of our asian friends,who promptly said he was from the national insurance compromising team...i just stated if he wanted my bank details as well...phone was swiftly put down at his end..get an honest job if you go to HRMC site it clearly states they will not ,text,call,email about your personal details utter fraud/scam

I m a TalkTalk business customer so I guess there were trying tu upsell me some of their additional services.
Caller claimed to be from BT openreach calling about internet issues. They asked me to run a speed test and when I said I had 69 download and 18 upload they said that the difference was an issue. When I pointed out that it was always like that, and wasn't supposed to be the same they hung up. Obviously a scam.
Has been phoning most days , and sometimes 2/3 times a day , for months now ,surely they ll give up eventually ? We don t answer the phone to any unknown numbers any longer !

Had a spate of calls over a month ago. Am ex directory and registered with TPS but still get calls. Tried various tactics ignoring, picking up phone and leaving it w/o answering....they got abusive. Calls now restarted, left to answer machine, interesting messages..may now report to police!
