0800 183 6403 Got called by a man with heavy Indian accent, lots of noise in background. He said he’s from Virgin Media, asked fir me by name. Offering further discounts and free TV channels. These are very highly trained scammers and they appear to know details of my virgin media account. How? Has there been a data breach at Virgin? My account preferences are set to no contact by phone. Very rude PPI hawking woman who when I asked where she had obtained my data from, would not answer properly, saying I must have ticked a box asking them to contact me. I suggested that under the new GDPR coming in this would be illegal as I will have a right to know how my data is being used and where it is coming from and how it is being stored etc. She said this is not true, and I was not listening properly... :(

A missed call from these people which I returned. They have also tried contacting me from other numbers. I refused to confirm any details or give a reference number (I don t have one - I ve never heard of them till yesterday). I ve been contacted in the past by debt collectors looking for Steven Griffiths (who isn t me) so I assume this is what this is about. The guy wouldn t continue the call so I advised I would be blocking them.
