Warranty/insurance scam. Problem is few of these scams get reported to the police so it’s rare that the criminals get nicked. This site probably gets more reports of scam calls and texts per hour than the police get in a month. Person called Jack Wells called my elderly parents and tried to sell them a plug in box to stop unwanted phone calls. He had the correct details for them and their address! He asked for all bank details, sort code, acc. number and a password. Luckily they are not that stupid!!

Received an unsolicited call from this number which is probably spoofed. A recorded message claimed it was the National Fraud Office and that my National Insurance number had been cancelled due to fraudulent activities. I immediately ended the call at that point and performed a Google search on the number.

The same "lady" from here keeps calling me, saying I ve had a traffic accident.... I haven t at all. Every time I ask her to stop calling, she calls me a s**g or a c**t then hangs up. She the pranks me for a few hours of the day. Disgusting people need shitting down. Appalling language used by her. I called her office and asked to speak to a manager, the receptionist told me to "f**k off" and hung up!! Nice people.

Simply hung up at this point, but such calls are annoying and potentially dangerous. Have cheçked with my bank in the past, who assure me they would never make such a call

This was a very entertaining phone call as the man on the other line who went under the name of "Michael Jordan", not the basketball player, told me I must give him money or else I would be arrested in 30 minutes!! Thank you Mr. Jordan for giving me and my flatmate 40 minutes of laughs this morning.

SCAM Ignored call. It went to voicemail and an automated voice left a message saying that there had been some suspicious activity on my Amazon account to the amount of £1,400+ and that my account would be locked and I should press 1 or 2 to sort this out. Obviously I didn't. I've checked my account due to receiving the same message from a mobile number a couple of days before and it's fine.

When answering the call, a pre-recorded male voice told me that my NI number would be under investigation, because several fraudulent activities had been registered. It then urged me to press 1 for further information. I terminated the call immediately. However, this does not seem a legitimate phone number from which such a call would be made. Therefore, I am classing this as scam/fraud.
