"Industrial Workers Union" scam from Derby had been ringing me daily for around three weeks. Finally gave in to temptation and picked up. "We re totally legit" and "a government body" the man said. Basically boiled down to cold calling people on a tradesman database looking to get money out of past employers for supposed hearing loss. These people are the scum of the earth and the reason this country is going down the tubes. Get a real job before it s too late! Don t trust anyone that asks for more details

They also wanted me to tell them how much I was paying per month so that they could discount it, if they are from O2 then why would they not know how much I'm paying already? It's a scam, clearly. Fraud COMMERCIAL AND DOMESTIC INVESTIGATIONS took money of us by claiming they had details of illegal transactions relating to businesses that owe us money. It turns out those businesses are their other client's debtors too and they use their private data illegally. Unfortunately we fell for this scam and paid. The Police let them get away with it as civil matter. The Courts are our only hope.

He remainded polite and calm but still keen to get more information, WITHOUT giving HIS organisation's details.
