These are debt collection agents they work for HMRC and are relentless threatening and pushy.

The man insists I have something wrong with my computer. He says his family get these calls also. Why isn t he kind enough to fix their computers then? Very annoying harassment calls almost daily.

I have not answered to these people. Not once. Yet, they call at least weekly. I ve got a years line rental with BT paid for up-front, which allows me to block 99% of unwanted calls (with a BT blocker phone purchased separately, in case anyone was wondering). This caller would likely be asking to speak with Mr Strevitt or Mr Gwendoline. As has been the nature of the calls for the past 3 years. I had a call from this number offering a new boiler for £17 per month. Pressed 5 and ‘Shona’ asked “how may I help you ?” I said “Hello Shona, before we start could you tell me who you are and how you got my number?” she said “err, no!” and hung up.

Received 2 calls from this number which purports to be from Santander fraud dept. A recorded message asks that I cal back on a freephone number entering a 3 digit code. I am suspicious of calls of this type and will first check with Santander to verify whether it is a real message or not.

I thought I ll add this. All the replies are recent (nov 2013) I got one ring then it went off. This has happened twice on one week. Timewaster.
