Telemarketing I have just had a call fro 07711 421182 with a far-eastern sounding chap with bad english trying to tell me against a background of lots of other people doing the same thing, that he wanted to "help me with [my] investments". I couldn't make out his explanation of how he got my number but anyone working for a firm that doesn't use landlines is not for me. It wasn't selling he insisted. Of course not. SCAM Pretending to be Amzon saying that an order has been placed on my account with a couple of phone options. I just hung up but I assume if you choose the options you will either be charged for something or go through to someone who will try and get your account details. Checked my amazon (on a different device) no orders placed - so this is defiantly a scam. I've been getting a lot of random calls recently so assume my number managed to make it onto a dodgy list somewhere.

Said that because they’d refunded an overpayment that my account may show in arrears and I may receive an automated letter due to this error. They will remove it but wanted to let me know that they may not be able to stop the letter. If they’re making this many calls for this reason they should probably just have sent an email to everyone!

This number called me on my mobile and I certainly didn t give them that number. They said they were from Ivana whoever the hell they are and as soon as I asked them where they got my number from they hung up. so that tells me they are totally untrustworthy. Ask them where they got the number from, or tell them they are breaking the Data Protection Law and they will soon piddle off. Will be blocking this number on my mobile as soon as I can get to grips with doing it.
Fraud. Automated female recorded voice claiming to be from Amazon wanting to give me back £79. Wanted me to press 1 to talk to customer services, to provide my bank details. Didn't bother as never had an Amazon account and can spot a scam a mile off.
Msg said from FCA and to press one first of all I don't have enough money for the Financial Conduct Authority to contact me and secondly if they scammed my account the would receive 1.54p
