From what I could understand from his thick Indian accent, He was calling all owners of a certain manufactured computer to warn them about some problem....asked if I was on my computer now. Argos Gift Scam. Received a text message from this same Ambulance chaser number 07742178682 on 16/11/19 but the text says "Congratulations, you ve won the ?500 gift from Argos. Don t miss out!" and includes a dodgy web link -DO NOT CLICK ON THE LINK! Argos apparently do not notify you of prizes via SMS.
I received a call from this number and I knew there was something odd about it as when I said I do not have a mobile or lap top the phone went dead and I rang the number back guess what no answer the number was traced to manchester area
I had a call today from a South African sounding lady, from London number 020 8089 6127 said she was calling from a company called Teabag that got my suspicions up straight away, asked to speak to me by name, so she already had my name and phone number somehow. Said that she understood, I had lost money in an investment and would I like to get it back, I asked how she got my name and phone number and she immediately hung up. This is obviously a scam,
