An Indian sounding man said he was from one of the newest UK 'Habits companies' and wanted to ask me about my habits. HMRC scam. Says a letter was returned and legal action is imminent.
They said they were calling from HMRC, however HMRC never calls mobile numbers. Phone scams are a common way for criminals to con people out of money using various tricks to get your personal or financial information. This number is claiming to be Currys PC World Mobile. I work at Currys myself and is internally being recognised as a spam number pretending to be Currys to sell fake mobile contracts for their details. Avoid.

TAXES / HMRC TAXES / HMRC SCAM +44 20 3925 0396 - This number called me this morning and asked me if I’d been working in the last four years, whether I had been self-employed and who I was working for now. When I said I was retired, she said I wouldn’t be eligible for a tax rebate when I asked what the reason for the call was. She signed off.
Just silence at the other end, hopefully this is a sign that a scammer or marketeer has just had their tongue glued to their eyeball.
