Bad line, strong Indian accent, purported to be from BT Openreach. Did not believe them and they hung up.
Indian guy calling himself David, claiming to be calling from Curry's with a promotional offer. I didn't wait to find out what, I've had several "Manchester based" calls recently all offering promotional offers. They are a real nuisance. I just keep blocking them.

It's a debt collectors called ACI. it's outgoing calls only so don't bother phoning back,I just blocked it " if they don't take mine I don't take theirs" dead simple
Repeated phone calls, (within working hours). This business sells magazine deals/subscriptions - but if you buy once they don't stop phoning (unless you firmly say/threaten them a few times that you'll report them). They're not the worst by any means.

Also noticing that the number is the same as my number except the last 3 digits are different so could this be a way to mask the actual mobile number?

He said he was passing me to his manager (diff man) he asked spelling of name, asked for postcode and house number. When I questioned needing house number he said checking because of scams. Oriental sounding female named Ann, with unclear second name called at 16.25 11-07-22, said she was calling about loft insulation. I hung up and blocked call.
SCAM I was phoned by this number today. It was a crackly line and the woman said she it was a bank call telling me that there were 2 suspicious payments from my bank account today. One for £300 and one for £3000. There were nos to press to agree to the payments or a number to speak to someone. I ended the call and then redialled the number registered, but it said that it was an incorrect number.
