Fraud. I got a recorded message in an American accent saying that a criminal case has been filed against me for tax evasion. I think I am probably stupid enough to accept this and panic, but I don't believe it and burst out laughing. I think the accent tipped me of 'cause the patter was quite believable(NOT!).

Now using 0161 850 1033 same story,they and others pressurisng my wife to make a claim following a minor car accident 2 years ago. I grabbed the phone and told them to drop it I would be taking action. Reported to ICO.org.uk and blocked the number. Beware...This is a scam. Caller named Alan announced that he was calling about my computer. Given that it was an unsolicited call from person who could in no way know if I had a computer or not, I immediately hung up and blocked the number.
