This number called my mobile and I ignored it which I do routinely. Then called it back from a switchboard number (so would be unknown to them) - permanently engaged. Quite constent with a dodgey number.
A Google search suggests that the number, if genuine, belongs to Clockwise Credit Union in Leicester.

If this really is HSBC s fraud dept they are staggeringly incompetent and l am by no means convinced that it is. Question of whether there has been fraud on my account remains unsolved - l was unable to give the exact year that l opened my account - approx 40 years ago - and so failed my telephone security check . When I called this number back it said the number was out of service
They said they were calling from HMRC, however HMRC never calls mobile numbers. Phone scams are a common way for criminals to con people out of money using various tricks to get your personal or financial information. A funny voice asked me to wait until the next HMRC agents would be available.
