Missed first call, ignored after finding out it s a middlesborough area code as I live in Northern Ireland. They rang a second time and kept talking about my car accident. I m 16. I don t know how to drive, lol.

Fraud. Automated female recorded voice claiming to be from Amazon wanting to give me back £79. Wanted me to press 1 to talk to customer services, to provide my bank details. Didn't bother as never had an Amazon account and can spot a scam a mile off.
SCAM CLAIMING THEY ARE FROM BRITISH GAS, ONCE I TOLD THEM I KNEW THEY WERE NOT BRITISH GAS HE SAID ITS TOO LATE CHECK YOUR BANK DETAILS.. THEY ARE VERY CONVINCING AND WILL KEEP RINGING AND RINGING. BRITISH GAS HAVE CONFIRMED THESE IDIOTS ARE NOTHING TO DO WITH THEM.

Missed call, your identification as a solicitors number is of no use to me and completely unexpected, so it must be some sort of phishing or scam call. Having had calls from India, from supposed UK numbers, I suspect that some sort of fake number hack may be the cause. Using a VOIP system makes the originators true telephone number unavailable. These VOIP suppliers need to double check the purpose of their clients and prevent scams over the VOIP service they provide.

NEVER call these numbers back. They are spoofed by the scammers and are not calls from the UK. If you call them back, you may get caught for a large call charge.
Not in the habit of giving out my personal mobile number to just anyone or any businesses. Although I ve had 6 calls from this number in the past few days, no idea who it is, as I have absolutely no intention whatsoever of answering calls from numbers I do not recognise, especially if they begin 0845. Just blocked the number from my list of recent calls on my iPhone, which sends them directly to voicemail as opposed to bothering me with something I am unconcerned about. This no. originates from a company called Vintels (http://www.vintels.com/). They already has a complaint upheld by the ASA against them (Google Vintels and ASA) for sending out SMSs saying "Free Msg: Our records indicate you may be entitled to ?3750 for the accident you had. To apply free reply CLAIM to this message. To opt out text STOP". Vintels however keep changing the wording slightly to get round this.
