Almost certainly SPAM/SCAM as it called at the usual parasites'/pests' evening time, in this case 6.30pm. There was a suspicious pause & silence (auto-dialler?) when I answered and then the call was disconnected. Spam/Phishing for information call: Caller claimed to be from Sky checking the renewal of services on my contract then asked me if I had any problems with my Sky equipment. I do not have any contract with Sky and no equipment, so I asked which equipment she was referring to at which point she ended the call.
Call centre based in India. They claim that there has been unauthorized activity on the internet from your computer and they will disconnect you unless you pay them. Once they have your credit card details they will take all the money that they can get away with. There are other variations on this to get your credit/debit card details.

SCAM Claimed she was "'Yennifer' from 'Wirgin' media technical department"! Woman had very 'thick' 'Indian'-style accent. She said "oh, oh, oh," when I said I was busy & I would ring Virgin later. She'd done the "How are you this morning?", like a lot of the phone scams do. Nothing was said about security questions! Suspect this was another scam call.
Scam - A case against me for tax evasion, a warrant issued for my arrest, press 1 for more info, number then call dies (automated voice in American accent of course!)

Dont know who it was but voicemail was an automated computerised voice stating to press 1 or there would be legal action. Guess what I didnt press.
This is the 2nd phone call on my mobile in two days saying that my son may be in receipt of some money. When I asked who they was they repeated that they wanted to speak to my son as it was in his interest and it was confidential, dater protected and so on then and wanted his mobile number. I informed them that I was his mother and if their not prepared to give me information then I m not prepared to divulge information under the dater protection act. They hung up!

Man claimed to be from Microsoft and knew my name. Asked if I had a computer. As I did not answer and just kept asking him how he got our number (we are registered with TPS) he said it was from publicly available sources! He then said as I was not cooperating he would cut me off straight away. Extremely concerning due to his bullying attitude and tendency to answer back rather than ending the call as most of them do.
