I received a call from this number a while ago. When I picked it up I heard "thanks for your patience you will be transferred to an agent now" and the call was terminated. I called them back and a woman answered hello this is consumer helpline, how can I help . She then started saying something about loans. I am applying to jobsites and apparently there is a connection between a jobsite and this call, as I ve read in other comments as well.

I got a call from this number this morning on answering A recorded message (american accent0 started the call saying that a legal writ has been placed on my name I should.... I cut the call and redialled the nr and when I engaged with the operator stating I wasn't pleased with bing subject to legal action the operator put the phone down on me. I had a silent call (on 15/5/15)& as I was expecting a call from unknown people on this area code, I used 1471 and phoned back. I heard a recorded message "You were called today by Media Match. The cal was not important and we will try again later. Goodbye" A Google search for Media Match shows a US firm with this name, but on websites similar to this one they claim that they do not cold-call and that their name is being mis-used. Call centre: Eastern/Asian accent (UK English speakers don't call you "Ma'am"!) claiming to be from BT Openreach; no preamble about Data Protection or recording calls for security purposes. When I stated that we did not have an account with BT Openreach the line went dead.

Scam call - automated voice claiming to be from BT threatening to cut off internet unless pressed 1 to be put through to engineer
When answering the call, a pre-recorded male voice told me that my NI number would be under investigation, because several fraudulent activities had been registered. It then urged me to press 1 for further information. I terminated the call immediately. However, this does not seem a legitimate phone number from which such a call would be made. Therefore, I am classing this as scam/fraud.
