When answering the call, a pre-recorded male voice told me that my NI number would be under investigation, because several fraudulent activities had been registered. It then urged me to press 1 for further information. I terminated the call immediately. However, this does not seem a legitimate phone number from which such a call would be made. Therefore, I am classing this as scam/fraud.

I grabbed the phone and told them to drop it I would be taking action. Reported to ICO.org.uk and blocked the number. I had a call of this number to my work mobile, which highlighted it be suspected Spam so I didn't answer. And within 30 seconds I had a call from the same number to my private mobile!
