I asked who they represent and she said they work with a number of companies. I asked what her organisation was and she told me she'd get a manager to ring back in the next half hour. When answering the call, a pre-recorded male voice told me that my NI number would be under investigation, because several fraudulent activities had been registered. It then urged me to press 1 for further information. I terminated the call immediately. However, this does not seem a legitimate phone number from which such a call would be made. Therefore, I am classing this as scam/fraud.

Received a phone call from this number today citing consumer services and something about a refund due to an overpayment on a loan taken out within the last 12 years ( I haven t). I asked him for details on this loan and he questioned me back asking well haven t you? . I retorted back well you tell me since you re the one here calling me. He hung up. I call back and the same guy picks up and trys to pretend it was a colleague I had spoken to. He then hangs up again. Avoid this number people.
