A Google search indicates that the number, if genuine, belongs to a charity called Mary s Meals, which operates in several cities and provides meals for deprived children.

"ATTENTION! We have tried to contact you, It is im portant we speak to you today. Please call 08445718136 quoting your reference. XXXXX Thank you." Got this text from 07456272496, blatantly a scam cos my mate got exactly the same text!!

Have previously had about three missed calls from this number - just picked up the latest call and they informed me that I d had a car accident at some point since July 2010 - I have never had a car accident, thank goodness. I asked them where they got this information from - they said they purchased these details from a company and had got them as I had registered the accident but hadn t claimed anything. Fairly well spoken Man claiming I had just called him from my number. Repeatedly asked me for my name when I kept telling him that I hadn’t called him he kept asking me who he was speaking to! Told him I wouldn’t give him my name as he had called me and not the other way round. He went way in the end. Not sure if it was a genuine mistake on his part but I’d certainly not called anyone snd double checked my phone, but he was determined to try and get my name.

I ve had this number call me several times. Sometimes they have hung up before I can answer, sometimes it is late at night!!!!!
