SCAM Automated voice saying they were HMRC phoning to advise that I was the subject of some fraudulent activity and advised me to press 1. They said that if I didn't press 1 and did not get connected, the Police would come to arrest me immediately.
SCAM Claimed she was "'Yennifer' from 'Wirgin' media technical department"! Woman had very 'thick' 'Indian'-style accent. She said "oh, oh, oh," when I said I was busy & I would ring Virgin later. Had about 10 abandoned nuisance calls from this number this week and today, I finally got someone to talk to! She pretended to be a solicitor but when challenged had to admit she was not intelligent enough to be a solicitor. I refused to confirm who I was which irritated her hugely. My telephone is recorded on TPS so this is unlawful cold-calling which I will be reporting to various agencies, namely BT Nuisance calls bureau, TPS, Trading Standards, Companies House, Law Society etc. etc.
