SCAM Upon connection there was an electronic tone like you used to get with Skype. Man with thick accent tried to interest me in a motor accident I recently had and had “forgotten about”. When I said no I hadn’t had one I was immediately disconnected. This is not Aberdeen, it sounds more like India.

Belived to be a utility scam reported via Google. So don't trust it or research it first. I did not answer the call and they did not leave a message which I always regard as up to no good! SCAM

Automated call stating that £300 & £1,100 had been taken from my card. “Press 1 to cancel”. I pressed 1 to try and find out who was calling. Was told by a guy with a foreign accent that the call was from London Paddington. He asked the reason for my call and then asked for my full name. At that point I put down the phone and registered this number. Obviously this was a fraudulent call.

It's a scam pretending to be from HMRC asking for details.

Missed call - Missed the call. Rang back out of curiosity and got the message "This number has been suspended through suspected misuse or fraud. If affected call..." and gave the Fraud Line Interestingly, I look at my Blocked Numbers log and I have in the past blocked 0161 636 3721 - 3726, so it must be an allocation bought up by someone dodgy who just flips the outgoing number when it gets burned.

Caller says you've suspicious transactions on your card, knows your name and last four digits of the card. Asks you to check the balance, in my case without any security questions. Fraud SCAM Claimed to be associated with a government scheme ECO4. This is a genuine scheme providing help with home insulation and energy efficiency for people on certain benefits. However, why would I be called from someone 100s of miles away? They aren’t being paid by the government to make these calls, so who is paying them and why? Advice is Block and Ignore!
