Beware...This is a scam. Caller named Alan announced that he was calling about my computer. Given that it was an unsolicited call from person who could in no way know if I had a computer or not, I immediately hung up and blocked the number.

Recorded message,claiming a withdrawal had been made from my debit card.I do not have the card mentioned so I guess it was just a fishing trip to steal my money.

Claimed to be paid by Microsoft, insisted I switch on my computer which supposedly had a virus. Resisted and argued when challenged, became abusive and continued to try to persuade me (but failed). Threatened to block my connection. I told him where to go and hung up. He called back three times in a different voice and got told again where to go! One of many scammers trying the same old gag. This number called twice. Thanks to all on this site - I ignored both calls. As a personal policy, I don t answer calls on my mobile, cos I only give it out to family.....and in any case I only use it for texting.
